Mercedes and McLaren announce they will launch a limited edition of SLR model that will be lighter with 300 kg.
Mercedes and McLaren intent to satisfy the pretences of speed impassioned by introducing a special version of the SRL supercar. What brings new the 722 GTR version is the little weight obtained with a careful process of mass reduction.

The new supercar weighs 300 kg less, it’s final mass being just 1300 kg. This modification brings an improvement concerning cars performance, 650 hp under the hood are more than enough for obtaining sensations.
Lack of those 300 kg feels very good in accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h, improved with 0,6 seconds that is made in just 3,0 seconds, at maximum speed of 337 km/h. Still aren’t known very much details about replaced parts but is very likely that Mercedes and McLaren have used generous quantities of carbon fiber and alloys.
The price of the car will be somewhere around 750 000 Euros. To ensure exclusivity for the limited edition, Mercedes and McLaren will produce only 21 models like this, eager list is already filling…
Before the official launch, in a curious way the new model has been spotted in showroom of a german dealer. Some pictures were taken. All the work deposed by the Mercedes and McLaren can be see, and the results are visible with our eyes.Rims carry the signature of OZ brand, they have 19 inch and are impressive too like the huge aileron and speaker of big dimensions from back.
Inside almost all component was replaced with a carbon fiber one, being encaged with a safeness crate. All what remains too see is if will be found a team interested to compete in FIA GT1 with an auto that has the engine placed in front against other adequate models like Maserati MC12.

As the time flows, the well known American brand reveals more and more about the supercar animated by Dodge Viper propulsion and the news aren’t good at all for the competitions from Europe, including Bugatti Veryon. This car will have it’s entire potential around a V10 of 8,5 l twin-turbo with 1000 hp (engine used under the hood of Viper Venom) but Hennessey announced recently that it will be available a special kit, what will reveal from the same car 1200 hp and 1490 Nm.
Like everything wouldn’t be just perfect, Hennessey informs that the car will have not more than 1255 kg, that means that the ratio between weight/power will be closer of 1 kg/hp. Explained in another words, the “supersonic” accelerations will be a piece of cake, the Americans saying that Venom GT will reach 100 km/h in just 2,5 seconds and around 300 km/h in approximate 14 seconds. More vertiginous is the maximum speed of Huston’s rocket, evaluated to 421 km/h – with almost 14 km/h more than Bugatti Veryon and with 11 km/h more than the actual holder of world record, SSC Ultimate Aero TT.
Venom GT will have a classical structural solution in the world of supercars – central engine and rear traction – the engine will give it’s entire power to a manual gear with 6 positions. The Hennessey bolide will have to stop from time to time in some cases for urgency. For this will be installed a disc braking system made of carbon fiber (356 mm diameter), pulled by etrier with 6 pistons. Hennessy put in mind to make from Venom GT a global supercar, this way will offer a wheel on the right side, and then like the first customers don’t find the end in the first tree they hit, the Americans will offer a book with directives for the car, like the ones which will drive exploit at maximum the 1000 hp. Expect like this beast appear first as a concept, event which will consume somewhere in 2009.

Elegant, sportive Audi Cabriolet A3 awaits us in shops from the spring of 2008 (sales will begin in february – Germany). It will be equipped with 4 types of different engines and with some new kits which we will have to choose.

The new Cabriolet without the convertible seems lighter but when the convertible is activated is like a shine of the sun on road, gives the slight impression of Coupe model. It’s convertible can activated in 9 seconds using the hydraulics. Hood represents a new thing, it can be found in the automatic and the semi-automatic models. This car doesn’t disappoint when looking at the it’s security, can be certainly considered one in which persons find themselves in safe in any situation. The materials which are in the body of car are represented by hard-strength steel and some other reinforcement parts.

Looking at it’s technical specifications from outside it has 4238 mm length, 1756 mm width, 1424 mm height. This measurements place it in sport compact class. The site created for Audi let to ‘leak’ finally some images with the new model which will be revealed to public in march at the Auto Salon from Geneva. From images we can admire a lesson of design, the new Audi Coupe being a perfect combination of curve lines that start from the front to the rear, lines that travel all body of car. Those lines end in the best rear drawn by Walter de Silva lately.It looks astonishing from outside, from the inside it will be carrying some top motorizations a V6 TDI of 3 l, a V8 FSI and a V6 FSI of 3.2 l.All models will have excepting the base equipment, Quattro traction. Cars will have a manual gear with six speeds, the gear box with double clutch S-tonic.Looking at images the car looks bigger that A4, fact that will offer an advantage to it’s rival BMW 3 series coupe. The car has 4 seats, clam type. A boot of 455 l, length of the car is 4.63 m. It ensures enough inside space for carrying 4 persons and their luggage on big distances in a comfortable. Using aluminum and the board give a sportive ambiance, but what really catches our eye is the white color of the inside which really gives an aura for this car.The performances of this car are also notable: the 3.2 FSI quattro with manual transmission gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, having the maximum speed of 250 km/h. Beside those performances the consumption is 8.7 l per 100 km, in the 3.2 FSI multitronic. Looking at the other model 3.0 TDI quattro accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, having a medium consumption of 7.2 l per 100 km.
A5 is the first car developed on the modular platform of Audi, platform which will be used for the next generation of limousines A4 and A6, as for the new model A8 too.

The Japanese constructor revealed at the Auto Salon from Sydney an improved version of the Mazda 3 MPS. For the fans of Mazda model, the Auto Salon from Sydney started with a huge surprise. It was revealed an improved version of the performance model Mazda 3 MPS, nicknamed Extreme. Hatchback received modifications at engine level, suspensions level and exhaust system, the extreme version being capable to achieve a high level of performance.
Looking at exterior the changes are little, the aggressive look is assured by the black vinyl positioned over the red paint True Red, black bossages, smoky glass, black roof and the rear aileron. The exclusivist design is completed by 19 inch BBS Motorsport rimes with special logo MPS.

The 4 cylinders propeller of 2,3 l DISI develops now 281 hp at 5300 rpm and a torque of 425 Nm at 4400 rpm. Extra power has been obtained once with the modified PCM (Power Control Module) system and replacement of exhaust.
Stability of the car will be assured by the Dunlop Sports tires of 225/35ZR19 and a brand new suspension package from Coote, a company with tradition on market and experience in the Australian rally. To stop the hatchback of 281 hp, the driver will receive help from ventilated discs of 320 mm on front and 280 mm on back as excellent braking systems as: ABS with 4 channels, EBD and electronic assistance on braking.
Safeness is assured by the dynamic system control of stability and traction but the 6 airbags carry an important role too (frontal, lateral and curtain). Inside driver and passengers will enjoy black leather tapestry.
About the performances of new Mazda 3 MPS Extreme, the Japanese constructor didn’t publish details, but it is already known that older version of hatchback got a time of 8 minutes and 39 seconds on the circuit from Nurburgring.
