One of the new models launched in Geneva and less put into consideration is Nissan Micra subcompact, which reached its fourth generation. One thing is clear: the old Micra personality. Nissan has not fallen into the passion of most manufacturers to increase the size too, so it follows the same philosophy as Micra Toyota Yaris: car up to minimum dimensions. The 3.78 meters long, the Micra is only 3 mm longer than the Yaris, and it provides a gauge advantage in urban traffic. All of the resulting small size is another advantage: fuel consumption. The new Micra boasts an average consumption of 5.0 litres/100 km. True, gasoline engine has a capacity of only 1.2 liters and 3-cylinder, 80 hp power being developed. This is the basic version, because there will be a supercharged version with direct injection of the same propellant, which will develop 98 hp. Paradoxically, for this Nissan communicate an average consumption of about 4.1 litres/100 km! An important contribution to this result is but a Stop & Start system, found in some devices.
Europe will be offered only these two engines, both coupled to a five-speed manual box. Will be available and an optional automatic transmission for powerful propeller. Geneva has a model five-door body, and Nissan has not yet communicated and whether there will be a three-door or convertible, as before.
Sales will begin this autumn.
