One of the most distinctive features of C70 is its style. The front-end design is renewed to give C70 a dashing look. It’s fitted with sleeker headlamps. Also the rear-end styling is freshened with LED tail lamps and finely reworked contours. As per the interiors are concerned, the dashboard is fitted with a new instruments panel that consists of C70-specific gauges and graphics which are distinct than other Volvos.
Under the hood lies the C70’s turbocharged 2.5-liter inline five cylinder engine which produces a maximum power of 227 horsepower and 236 pound-ft of torque. With the turbo charged engine these figures are produced at lower rpm levels. C70 has a five-speed automatic transmission system with mandatory manual-shift control. The fuel economy of C70 is EPA rated at 28 miles per gallon on highway and 19 miles per gallon in city. In fact the engine and transmission of C70 are same as in C30 coupe. Generally in other cars, the side curtain bag comes down from the roof of the car. As C70 is a convertible, this bag comes from the doors of C70 and goes upward. So in case of accidents, the driver and passengers are protected by the side seat air bag as well as a side curtain air bag. C70 comes with an extremely good quality sound system. Getting into the car and out of the car is similar to any other 2-door coupe, but once you get in there is sufficient headroom unlike any other convertibles.
