The 2010 Nissan x-trail gets a 7-inch touch screen at the centre of the cock pit with GPS navigation feature and a reverse camera to help while parking. Bluetooth and i-pod connectivity come with the standard edition. The additional external features include 18 inch alloy wheels and privacy glass. The previous features such as leather trim, climate control air conditioning, a panoramic sun roof, heated front seats remain the same in new model also. The engine remained unchanged which is a 2.0 liter turbo charged diesel engine which produces a peak power of 127 kW. All X-Trail models are fitted with dual front, side and curtain airbags and electronic stability control. Among the safety features a remarkable one is Nissan’s all mode 4X4i four-wheel-drive system, featuring hill start assist and hill descent control. This feature makes Nissan X-trail a unique car among the other brands. The new features of the X-Trail include a glove compartment with heat-retention and refrigerator functions, a three-point seatbelt and headrest for the centre rear seat, and an intelligent key system and engine immobilizer.
Suzuki’s Grand Vitara was the only car in compact SUV segment to provide a diesel alternative. Now X-trail also joins Vitara. One of the attractions of all X-trail models is Value for Money. One of the main rivals of Nissan X-Trail is Toyota Land Cruiser.
