Maserati MC12

MC12 is a two seat sports car produced by Maserati. The car is in production from 2004 with 30 cars produced. It was designed and built the car on the chassis of the Enzo Ferrari. It was built to compete in the FIA GT Championship. MC12 is the signal of Maserati’s return to racing after 37 years.

The MC12 is a two door coupe with a mid-rear engine layout. Even that it’s designed from racing the interior is luxurious, gel-coated carbon fiber, blue leather and silver “Brightex”. The body is made entirely from carbon fiber and improved downforce across all surfaces on the 19 “wheels. The car is presented only in white and blue scheme. In the engine compartment sit’s a 6.0 L V12 engine producing 620 hp (460 kW) and torque of 652 Nm. The engine accelerates the car from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and to 125 mph in 9.9 seconds, and maximum speed of 205 mph. In 2004 Maserati finished three MC12 GT1 race cars for the FIA GT GT1 class. In 2005 Maserati won the FIA GT Manufacturers Cup.
