The new BMW’s iconic M3 COUPE series has overtaken its predecessor, the BMW 3 COUPE, in terms of both design and technology. Based on the BMW 3 COUPE, the new BMW M3 coupe has revamped interior with high quality materials. Also the front seats were equipped with crash activated head restraints.

The car features a new high revving powerplant like the M3s of previous years, but this time the engine has ameliorated with a V8 engine in place of the inline 6 cylinder engines. In spite of using a V8, having two cylinder more than the 6 cylinder engine, the engine weighs an astonishing 15 kg lesser than its forerunner. It also classes a new tuned suspension and a six speed transmission. The six speed transmission system ensures optimum transmission of engine power throughout the rev range, resulting in smooth acceleration on demand. Moreover the new redesigned, more lightweight ventilated clutch offers more heat dissipation. The M3’s V8 powerplant delivers 420 horsepower from its 4 liter’s engine delivering maximum torque of 295 pound-feet at 3,900 rpm. The maximum engine speed is rated at an amazing 8,300 rpm ensuring its high revving ‘M’ tradition. The BMW M3 also introduced the Auto Start Stop function. The latest addition calls for wastage of fuel due to idling. Lot of fuel is consumed when we are stuck in a traffic jam or at road signals. The auto start stop function enables the feature where you can stop the engine when you do not need it. You can activate the auto start stop function by bringing your BMW to neutral, removing your foot from the clutch. The engine would stop and the same is displayed on the display system. To restart the engine all you need to do is to depress the clutch. The engine would come back to life and you can ride again without a moments delay. Further the car would recognize between temporary stop and the end of the trip. The auto start stop function would deactivate when the door is opened or driver’s seat belt is undone. The function can be deactivated when not required. Also the car design has been designed to add for overall aerodynamics.
