Lancia will ship in October the new Ypsilon range of the current It differs because it has slight changes in the body, new names for the trim levels and a broader range of diesel and gasoline engines. The engine range consists of two diesel and three gasoline. Diesels are a 75-16V 1.3 Multijet and 90 bhp (with particulate filter as standard). Although Lancia calls this engine 1.3, its capacity is 1.2 l. The Ypsilon was launched in 2003 had a variant of this engine but with 69 hp. These two Diesel engines can have a five-speed manual gearbox or an automatic clutch driven (which Lancia called DFN). In a 1.2 l petrol is 60 hp and two 1.4 liter 77 hp (with eight valves) and 95 hp (sixteen valves). The 95 hp gasoline may have a manual gearbox or an automatic six-speed robotized. All other gasoline engines can only have five-speed manual gearbox. In the new Ypsilon four names depending on the level of equipment “Argento”, “Oro Bianco”, “Oro Giallo” and “Platinum”. The body has very slight changes in appearance, the grill is new and can be painted (version “Argento”) or terminated in two types of chrome finishes (from version ‘Oro Bianco).
