2011 Porsche Cayenne looks much smaller. This is lighter, weighs about 390 pounds due to the use of light weight body panels. The light weight improves handling and fuel efficiency. Cayenne base model is fitted with a 3.6 liter V6 engine which produces 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The V6 engine is coupled with a 8-speed automatic transmission. Cayenne S is fitted with a V8 which produces 15 more horses than the base model. All wheel drive and 6-speed manual are standard features and an 8-speed automatic is optional. This also features a start/stop button in order to conserve the fuel. Cayenne V6 is able to hit a speed of 60 mph in 7.1 seconds with manual transmission and in case of automatic transmission, it takes 7.4 seconds to hit 60 mph. The Cayenne S features a 4.8-liter V8 good for 400 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Factory’s estimated 0-60 mph time is 5.6 seconds. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway making an average of 18 mpg. The safety features of Cayenne include, ABS, stability control, traction control, front side airbags driver knee airbags and side curtain airbags. Also a blind-spot warning system is embedded in this car.
