The Daihatsu’s second-generation Sirion is a deceptively spacious small hatchback, ideally suited to drivers looking for a compact car at an affordable price. There’s a more European flavor to this Sirion over the old one, the styling is sharper, the handling has been improved (based on the 2006 Toyota Yaris) and it’s well packaged inside. Standard equipment is impressive for such a small car, every Sirion has air conditioning, a CD player and electric windows and list prices are enticing too. Buying a Daihatsu Sirion requires accepting a few compromises in areas such as noise and harshness, low-down performance, steering effort for parking, and occupant space.
