The Daihatsu Boon X4 features a turbocharged intercooled 936cc engine than the 1.3 liter intercooler turbo K3-VET Daihatsu YRV engine. The engine which is known as KJ-VET is a 1.0 liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine which can make 133hp at 7200rpm and 133Nm of torque with a 3600rpm. The Daihatsu Boon X4 also features a 5-speed manual transmission and a full-time 4WD. The KJ-VET also features an automatic transmission along with the sequential shift options and a little more power at 140hp. There is a little less power for the 1.0 liter KJ-VET halfcuts which makes up along with the availability of the manual transmission.
