The Saleen S7R is a racing version of Saleen S7 which was developed to enter the grand tourer-style motorsports series. It was first assembled by Ray Mallock Ltd along with Saleen’s engineering team at workshops in Britain. Around 14 Saleen S7Rs had been prepared to be in race-ready condition and about 7 S7Rs to a level of completeness that needed assignment of VIN numbers. But all these chassis were not added into the complete vehicle. The Saleen S7R has been seen participating in the American Le Mans Series in North America and it has been winning poles in Europe. The car has proved itself on the international motor sports stage.
