

The Fiat 128 was introduced during 1969-198 as a small family car from Fiat. It featured all-new Fiat SOHC engine which was known to be advanced during that period. The engine also had an aluminum alloy cylinder head along with a direct overhead camshaft that was driven by a rubber toothed belt. The Fiat 128 was available in 2 different models such as 2 door sedan and 4 door sedan. It also featured a 1116cc engine during its introduction and 2-door-only 128 Rally edition which was introduced during 1971 had a 1290cc unit. The Fiat X1/9 sports car also had a same engine and running gear that was used in Fiat 128.
