The Isuzu Bellett GT-R is a racing GT which featured a 1.6 L DOHC engine along with power brakes and many other modifications. The car was easily identified as it had a particular paint scheme that included a full black hood. The Isuzu Bellett GT-R was really successful in racing, however only 1,400 GT-Rs have been developed till now. The car was also the first car that was called as GT-R and Isuzu used Type-R designation a long before Honda had adopted the name. The Bellett GT-R was positioned in the 10th place in the list of 50 greatest Japanese cars that was revealed during 2006.
