The Dacia Lastun was introduced in 1986 and was produced till 1992 as a cost-effective car. The car featured a 2-cylinder air-cooled 499 cc engine that was able to produce 22.5 hp along with a 3 speed manual transmission. The Dacia Lastun had a top speed of 66 mph and a fuel consumption of 3.3 L for about 100 km. It had a wheelbase of 1,915 mm, length of 2,950 mm, width of 1,410 mm, weight of 1,352 mm and it weighed about 590 kg only. Another luxury prototype model was also introduced during the 1990s which featured head restraints, hubcaps and body-colored bumpers.
