The Bugatti Type 52 was first introduced at the exhibition in Milan as an electric racing car made for children only. The car featured a single 12 volt electric motor including front and reverse along with braking which was made by the expanding wooden shoes at front and rear drums. The Bugatti Type 52 was introduced with a 200 mm length between the wheels and later it was increased to 1350 mm as there was difficulty with the leg room for the children. About 500 models were developed from the year 1927 to 1936 and were mainly used as playthings as well as serious racing among the children.
