The Mercedes-Benz 500K was first introduced at the 1934 Berlin Motor Show as a sports car and was produced from 1934 to 1936. The vehicle features a 5-litre straight eight that produced about 160-hp along with a standard 4-speed transmission or optional 5-speed manual. The Mercedes-Benz 500K also had a similar independent suspension setup which was used in the Mercedes-Benz 380 along with wishbone front axle, separate wheel location, coil springs and double-joint swing axle at rear. The vehicle was available with 3 different chassis along with 8 different bodies. At present, it remains as highly prized for its heritage and scarcity.
