The 2011 Peugeot 408 is a compact executive car that was first introduced at the Beijing Auto Show. It is available with a 2.0 l Flex 16 V engine that is able to produce 151 hp along with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a new AT8 automatic gearbox. The safety features include six airbags, ESP and ABS for emergency braking assistance along with electronic brake force distribution. The 2011 Peugeot 408 also has a large boot along with pantographic opening which offers easy access to the interior. The car also has some of the latest technologies such as electrically-controlled retractable 7 inch color navigation screen, Bi-Xenon headlights and parking assistance.
