The 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible was introduced with a slightly revised grille and a taillight. It also features a V8 engine that is capable of producing 366 hp and a 3-speed manual transmission. The car able to reach 0-60 mph in about 5.2 seconds and around 11.5 seconds at 123 mph for a quarter-mile. The 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible also had high-flow cylinder heads, larger Rochester QuadraJet 4-barrel carburetor, high-flow exhaust manifolds, a specific high-rise aluminum intake manifold and high-lift/long-duration camshaft. The car was a big success when it was introduced due to its design and other components providing higher engine speeds.
