The new Ford Mondeo will take Evos design concept and will be introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, so it will hit the market next summer.
Adjacent illustrations based on inside information and recent spy photos, we have the look of the new Mondeo with the latest design language of Ford. The car has a large grille, trapezoidal shaped and narrower headlights. The new Ford Mondeo will have a coupe-style roof line, that would emphasize the sporty nature.
Not only the exterior design will be taken from concept Evos, even some parts of the interior and some engine parts. The new Ford Mondeo will have propulsion system concept which will be shown at Frankfurt. The Hybrid system based on a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric engine powered by a Li-Ion battery will not be available right from the start, but will follow soon.
Conventional engine range will include existing Ford Mondeo EcoBoost 1.6 and 2.0-liter unit, with powers between 150 and 200 hp. Range includes diesel 1.6 TDCi 115 PS units and 2.0 TDCi 163 PS. All of these engines would be more economical thanks to new technologies introduced, such as auto start-stop system, brake energy regeneration and active aerodynamic elements (radiator grill closed at high speeds).
Inside, the new Ford Mondeo will have materials and finishes of better quality. A range of high-tech gadgets that will make the new model the most advanced vehicle in its class. These include SYNC infotainment system.The price of the new Ford Mondeo 2012 will be announced in the beginning of 2012.
