Toyota Auris is not bad at all - but it is stiff and boring. Toyota has promised a quantum leap from the Corolla, but this ain’t the car that they were talking about.
Comfort
Auris offers plenty of room inside, thanks to its height. All versions are comfortable, which is a good thing considering all of the customers for this version. The petrol engines are a bit noisy at highway speeds.
Performance
Avoid the 1.4 petrol engine but the 1.6 is ok, with a good torque. In the other side, onto the diesel engines, the small ones are satisfactory and the large ones are impressive.
Cool
Corolla has been a benchmark for Toyota and Auris does not change it much. Not a bad or a bad looking car, but when there are so many compact hatchback cars on the market, then you must come up with something special.
Quality
The board of Auris is an example of cheap plastic, placed with style and giving well. It gives you the feeling that nothing will break anytime soon.
Handling
Oddly, there are two different suspension types for Auris. The first, used for almost all models, provides handling that is lacking. The second is more firm and resembles with the one on the Focus or Golf, but it comes only on T180.
Functionality
The car is spacious and folding rear seats goes perfectly. Gearbox lever was mounted ingenious, thing that offers storage space.
Operating Expenses
Toyota Auris has made a model that can be used by individuals and by companies seeking fleets. The idea is to control depreciation.
