Small revolution in the Mercedes-Benz A-Class MPV new-generation: it will not be effective, but a worthy competitor for the BMW 1 Series. We demonstrated that the new concept Mercedes-Benz A-Class at Shanghai Auto Show 2011 is a strong rival for other brands.
A little while ago, was released a sketch of the future Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which pointed to clear the new direction that will address to the smallest of Mercedes-Benz. That is a compact machine, with obvious dynamic and life-style trends, contrary to the now idea of practicality and maximum efficiency monocab.
At Shanghai Auto Show 2011, we have in world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz, the A-Class Concept, a concept worthy for family members of the German manufacturer that was continuing recently with the successful design of a complex and sophisticated Mercedes-Benz F800 Concept.
The front of A-Class has a very impressive design for a compact car category, a prominent grille, lower slot with width spoiler and a very long hood, giving the impression that we talk about … SLS AMG supercar. If the production model will retain these elements and interesting shaped headlights, we say that A-Class will have more weight, than the brand image BMW or Audi A3.
From behind the concept, A-Class continues the idea of sportsmanship, but combined with practicality – the trim tailgate is sufficiently large and the horizontal taillights gives the car seriously look. From a side look, the A-Class coupe surprises the impression that leaves a glass surface profiling, because of the upper line of the third harmonic back side window and giving the impression of a shooting-break-coupe.
