

The Pontiac Torrent GXP was first introduced in 2008 as an SUV and it is available with new levels of performance. It is available with a 3.6 L DOHC SFI V6 engine that is capable of producing about 264 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque along with a new 6-speed automatic transmission and with tap-up or a tap-down feature. The vehicle is able to reach 0-60 mph in about 6.9 seconds and it is also available with front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive configuration. The Pontiac Torrent GXP also provides an uncompromising balance of performance along with style and comfort which is the best part of the vehicle. It also features a unique hood, new front fascia along with cooling inlets and detailed grille inserts. The vehicle has a wheelbase of 2,857 mm, width of 1,569 mm, length of 4,796 mm and height of 1,760 mm. The front suspension is available with MacPherson strut design and rear includes 4-link independent layout along with internal rebound springs to enhance the roll stiffness and steering sensitivity. The interior has been designed with perforated leather or a tailored cloth covered heated seats to increase the lateral support and also to coordinate with the door trim. The exterior features include leather-wrapped, three-spoke steering wheel, GXP-specific instruments, red backlighting and a 140-mph speedometer. The Pontiac Torrent GXP also features a stiffer shock valving, suspension bushing, solid stabilizer bars, hydraulic power steering, spring rates and 18 inch all-season radial sport tire.
