

The 2012 Acura ILX is a new luxury compact sedan that was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show as a concept car. The production version will be available with 2 engine options such as a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine and high-performance 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder engine along with a standard 6-speed manual transmission on both the versions. Another hybrid model will be introduced for the first time featuring 1.5-liter gasoline-electric hybrid engine. The safety features include 4-channel anti-lock brakes, front airbags, side airbags, side-curtain airbags, vehicle stability assist and advanced compatibility engineering body structure. The 2012 Acura ILX interior will be available with many new high-value features such as smart entry keyless access system, pushbutton start and Pandora internet radio interface along with SMS text message function for smart connectivity. The interior also be well designed with high-quality and well-appointed materials for the production model. It will also have a very sleek, sporty as well as aerodynamically efficient exterior to attract the buyers. The car is capable of producing greenhouse with excellent visibility, aerodynamic low and wide stance. Similar to other models from the company, the sedan has X in its name, but it will not be available with an all-wheel drive. The production version has been planned for the spring of 2012 and the company will be targeting mostly the first-time luxury-car buyers. The prices for the new four-door sedan will be announced when the car is ready to enter the market.
