Finally, VW fans are happy with the lowest German manufacturer model range: the new Volkswagen Up comes with original ideas and a slightly different style to what customers expect from VW. Here are pictures and information with the new Volkswagen Up, Successor of VW Lupo.
Now, here are some details about the Volkswagen Up: I heard four years ago, when, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007, was presented in world premiere a Volkswagen concept urban future. Now, in Frankfurt in 2011, the producer came among with a nea production model: the VW Up, which will be presented in the official premiere.
As many of you had used to, the differences between production car and concept are minimal, so that the Germans prefer to remain to a simplistic style than the ones you had originally. Therefore, the VW Up comes without major surprises, with the headlights reminiscent of Golf 6 and a great logo, while the spoiler adopts a novel idea of ventilation grid as a “belt” around the central bar, where are placed the registration number and the fog projectors.
The back is even more strange, if we refer to the latest VW models, which emphasize classical picture without stylistic experiments. In the case of VW Up, the tailgate is going on the idea of “all glass”, as in the case of the brothers C1 – 107 – Aygo, where the lights are placed vertically, with a high-tech design. The profile of Volkswagen Up brings more with a little van, because of its very inclined windscreen and high bonnet.
