

The Mercedes-Benz Vaneo is a 5-door MPV that was introduced in 2002 and was produced till the year 2005. The vehicle was available with different types of engine such as three types of engine such as 1.6 and 1.9-litre petrol engine and 1.7-litre diesel engine during its production period that was able to produce from 81-123 hp along with a 5-speed transmission. The basic model was capable of reaching 0-60 mph in about 15.3 seconds along with a top speed of around 97 mph. The Thatcham’s New Vehicle Security Ratings organization had tested the vehicle and they also offered a good security rating. The Mercedes-Benz Vaneo had a Sandwich Floor that was usually founded on a first A-Class vehicle. It also featured vacant space underneath passenger compartment, the place where the engine and transmission was able to slide during a severe frontal impact. This feature is helpful in protecting the passengers from leg to lower torso damage. The body of the car is very unique with two sliding rear doors for easy access, higher floor for car-like driving position and a higher roof line to improve the head room making the vehicle more spacious. The Mercedes-Benz Vaneo face decent sales during its production period, but the vehicle were commented about its quality which led to its discontinuation. A slide-out boot floor was also available with this vehicle which was helpful during loading and it was capable of holding about 120 kg luggage.
