Italy’s Lamborghini enters the Quattroroute in the luxury class of the SUV’s, with a model number which will be shadowed in the first phase of a concept. It will be unveiled at Geneva 2012, but in China.
Lamborghini officials decided: the 4 door coupe concept Lamborghini Estoque is dead, the athlete will have a green light and the luxurious Lamborghini SUV will be amaizing. So the Italy’s claim that Quattroroute know how it will look their next model - or even the concept that anticipates to be the new Lamborghini SUV.
According to Italian journalists, we first see the Lamborghini SUV as a concept, but not in spring at Geneva Motor Show 2012, but a little later in China at Beijing Auto Show 2012. The series would be launched at the end of 2014, with a very few aesthetic changes to the concept.
For now, the Italians speculate the technical level, so the Lamborghini SUV will receive the technical platform already known at Porsche Cayenne (which is also used on Volkswagen Touareg, but will be found even on the new generation Audi Q7 and on the future Bentley luxury SUV).
Compared to the Cayenne SUV, it will be a more sporty Lamborghini and is not excluded that under the hood to be mounted even the Aventador’s V12 engine with an output of 700 hp, other options would be the V10 engine from Gallardo or Audi R8 or even a turbocharged V8 and 500 hp, derived from the Audi S8. It is quite likely to benefit from Lamborghini SUV and hybrid, while the sophisticated four-wheel drive is standard on all versions.
