The Toyota Origin was introduced in the year 2000 as a limited edition car. It was available only in Japan as a distinct new retro style model. The car also features a 2997 cc petrol engine along with a 4-speed automatic transmission. This model was specially made to celebrate the production of 100 million units by the company. It has involved some of the most high level of craftsmanship which has been also used in other Toyota luxury sedans. The Toyota Origin also celebrates the passing on engineering skills as well as technical expertise to the latest generations of Toyota engineers-a process. There are many features that have been specially made for this special model. One of the most notable features includes C-pillar and the base sits further forward than its top. The rear doors have been hinged at the back and not at the central pillar. The doors open outward from the centre similar to a cupboard and a display cabinet. The car doors, roof, fenders and hood have been specially styled for this model. The Toyota Origin front and rear ends have been designed with smooth styling of modern and traditional car. Thee chrome front bow-tie grille, rounded fenders and circular inner headlamps offers a feeling of luxury and stability. It also has jewel-shaped tail-lights that has been separated and combined with a wide cabin which offers a dynamic appearance. This model was specially developed by the Kanto Auto Works.
