The French manufacturer amazes us with a concept car that will precede the next version of the new Laguna coupe 3, equipped with an impressive diesel engine.
Over 20 years of marketing for the real last coupe, Fuego, Renault approaches this range very pretentious. If the launch of the third generation of Laguna Opinions the opinions were divided, at the appearance of the new coupe, there will certainly be a better image for the French manufacturer.
Built on the same technical platform with Laguna 3 Coupe, Renault presents the two-door sport model. Basically, the concept shares the same styling with the Fluence model presented as a prototype in 2004, measuring 4.685 m and the LED lights are borrowed from the NEPT concept. The long hood, the suddenly rear end and the shoulders are impressive features of a true coupe, giving it by the huge grille to the thought that a big engine is mounted on the front.
And this is “big engine” is a 3.0 liter V6 dCi with top performances and refinement. The car is totally dedicated to the driving pleasure, the engine develops 265 hp whcih can be developed up to 5200 rpm and torque is 550 Nm at 1750 rpm. This engine was developed to become a benchmark for acoustic comfort and protect the environment, already complying with the Euro 6 standards.
Overhaul interval was increased to two years or 30,000 km, so that the engine will be produced at the Cleon plant in France in a cadence of 60,000 units per year. There will be a version with a low power of 230 hp and 450 Nm torque.
