Mazda launched in world premiere at the Moscow Motor Show a new concept, called Mazda Kazamai, a compact SUV, sporty, specially created for the Russian automobile market.
The concept has a length of 4.52 m and 1.93 m wide, is slightly higher than the current Mazda 3. With a height of only 1.5 m and a low roof line, these aspects give the car a sporty look. The hood is lower in the center than on the side, which brings out the wheel arches housing 22 inch tires. The model has a very aerodynamic body due to the lateral lines and grid air, whose dimensions were minimal. Kazamai can accommodate up to 4 passengers, who will benefit from the convenience and functionality of an SUV.
Mazda Kazamai designed in such a way that it has got a low fuel consumption and low CO2 emission level. Two objectives were that the concept is 10% more aerodynamic and 100 pounds lighter than other models in its class. There were also used lightweight materials and new processing technologies with the combination of components and the bonnet, so that chassis and engine block was made of aluminum or aluminum alloys.
As the group motor engine, Mazda Kazamai is equipped with the new generation 2.0 liter DISI (direct injection spark ignition), in the process of evolution and a six-speed automatic gearbox. It is estimated that the new engine, in combination with the better aerodynamic and very light elements, that could have a better level of consumption and reduced emissions by about 30% for the current gasoline engine of 2.0 liters.
