

The Jeep CJ-10A was introduced in the year 1985 and used at the Air Force bases as an aircraft tug. It was available with a 3.3 liter SD33 6-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of producing about 100 hp and 170lb-ft of torque along with a TF727 3-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle also features a NP208 T-case along with a plate covering shifter mechanism which will lock the transfer case during low range. The chassis of the vehicle had a shortened Wagoneer frame that was lengthened at the rear along with rectangular box tubing. The Jeep CJ-10A also features a blank grille and wide-set headlights on the exterior. A fold-down CJ tailgate was included in the rear of the tub and the 20-gallon fuel tank offers about 400 miles with a 20 mpg potential. There were also removable hard top along with square corner doors and 4-point roll cage. The Saginaw steering box was connected to the 13/4-inch DOM drag link to provide a custom high-steer arm on passenger-side knuckle. The Jeep CJ-10A also features stock offset-centerpin leaf springs which were flipped 180 degrees to move front axle two inches ahead to have an increased approach angle along with tire clearance. About 2300 units were produced during its production and all the models were available with a beam front axle and two-wheel drive. It was developed in Mexico and it was used by United States Air Force as an aircraft pulling vehicle.
