

The Bentley T1 is the first version that was produced in the T-series from the company. It was introduced with a 6750 cc, 8-cylinder 90 degree V-configuration engine along with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car was very much similar to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I, but the body was developed with chassis less monocoque that was almost lightweight. The company also ensured that this model will be available with the highest attainable degree of safety. This was the first model from Bentley that was produced without a separate chassis and in totally different from its previous versions. The Bentley T1 had a wheelbase of 3,040 mm, length of 5,170 mm, width of 1,800 mm, height of 1,518 mm and it also weighed about 4,636 lb. It also features new and lighter power steering, eight-way adjustable electric front seats, larger fuel tank and disc brakes on all the wheels along with a triplicate hydraulic braking system. The independent suspension was available on all the four wheels along with automatic height control according to loading. The Bentley T1 was slightly more dynamic due to its bonnet design which was few centimeters low and there was radiator shell shape along with rounded edges. The car was first introduced in the year 1965 and the first version was available till 1977 where about 1703 units were produced during its production. The car was available as a 4-door saloon and as a long wheelbase 4-door saloon.
