

The 2013 Ford Fusion Energi is a plug-in hybrid version that was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. It has been developed with plug-in hybrid along with an all-new 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gasoline engine that offers an estimated fuel economy of around 47 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway. The car also has all the latest gadgetry such as latest version of the MyFordTouch infotainment system, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control. The charging, heating and cooling can be easily controlled by the user remotely through the MyFordMobile system. The 2013 Ford Fusion Energi interior is available with sporty and driver-oriented environment along with next-generation seating. There is additional space available inside the car because of the redesigned instrument panel that provides airy and open environment. The car has been designed with customer safety in mind which includes features such as dual first-row knee airbags and adaptive front airbags. It also features industry-exclusive SYNC communications and entertainment system along with voice-activated communication from mobile phone to car’s audio system. The 2013 Ford Fusion Energi has MyFord Touch which can be used by the driver to interact with the vehicle systems through a conventional button, a voice control or a touch screen tap. Similar to other plug-in hybrids, this model is capable of travelling in EV mode until battery depletion. When the battery is fully charged it is expected to provide a total range of around 500 miles.
