Once was brought to this year’s Geneva Motor Show 2012 and so Ford Tourneo Custom has started developing trends in the commercial vehicle range of the US-German manufacturer. While the design appears to show that the car looks pretty fancy for a passenger van, it seems that the lines will also go into production as soon as possible, with a single discrete change: the emergence of the fog, instead of the front air intakes.
They used the front-wheel drive, so that it can get on board an amount of eight or nine passengers, depending on the configuration chosen. The interior, however, will be away from the traditional austerity of a van, so both in terms of ergonomics and design, the planning board and the cabin will come to mind a passenger car or compact class. In addition, Ford will offer new features such as warning the van when passing the lane or the rear view camera.
In engine chapter, the new Ford Tourneo Custom rely on the 2.2 liter Duratorq available in versions for 99, 123 and 153 hp, but there it is only a transmission option, the manual gearbox with six reports. The consumption will be improved significantly by the presence of a start-stop system, which will translate into an average consumption of 6.9 l / 100 km, a very good value for such a vehicle.
