We all wanted to see why the Nissan V6 dCi mounted under the hood a 231hp engine for the Navara pick-up. Just to make the it the ultimate pick-up from the market? When we say Nissan Navara, you think it’s one of the most capable pick-ups, a reliable utility car, large and seems ready for any work. But when we took the first contact with the Navara V6, the first thing I thought was that it is massive.
Why? Because I did not see why this pick-up would need a 231 hp engine, as long as the 2.5 liter dCi 190 hp seemed enough. Especially since there is no competition for the car and does not exceed the barrier of 200hp, so that the strongest rival is a Mitsubishi L200 2.5 DI-D with 178 hp, respectively Toyota Hilux, with a 3.0 D-4D with 171 hp.

But I had to find something better than the philosophy behind the “V6″ logo which is the most powerful Navara for us. First, the V6 dCi Navara is not really a pick-up utility, but rather a true life-style pick-up – from the price to the performance. Nissan Navara V6 dCi costs 45,990 euros and the only option is the metallic paint. Perhaps some will exclaim “I will spend my money as well for a Touareg, a X5 or ML”, but there is a big difference. Navara comes with a true off-road structure with non-permanent all-wheel drive and the gear and body are separate from the frame. It is the type of car that can go smoothly in places where the expensive SUVs will never be immersed.
