

The 2013 Ford Explorer Sport is the first-ever performance version SUV which is expected to have a highest fuel economy compared to other similar models. It also features a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine that is capable of producing about 350 hp at 5,500 rpm and 350 lb-ft at 1,500-5,000 rpm along with a paddle-shifted 6-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission. The vehicle has an estimated fuel economy of around 16 mpg in city and 22 mpg in the highway which is higher than other similar models. It also features a solid-mounted electric power-assisted steering rack along with a faster ratio and larger brakes which is useful for shorter stopping distances as well as better performance. The 2013 Ford Explorer Sport will be available in four different exterior color options such as Ruby Red Metallic Clearcoat, Tuxedo Black Metallic, Ingot Silver Metallic and White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat. It also has 20 inch wheels, black roof rack rails, blacked-out headlamp, taillamp treatments, liftgate applique and side-view mirror skull caps. The interior features include Charcoal Black leather seats along with two-tone mirroring, a technical look to instrument, door panel appliques, illuminated scuff plates and unique Sport-logo floor mats. The 2013 Ford Explorer Sport has a wheelbase of 112.6 inches, length of 197.1 inches, width of 90.2 inches and a height of 71.0 inches. The front grille has been fixed with low-gloss Sterling Gray mesh, new functional opening for extra engine cooling and EcoBoost badges on the rear side.
