The production of the hybrid A8 will start in 2012 when under the hood, the car will have an ultra-eco 2.0 TFSI petrol engine which will be added to an electric motor.The 2.0 liter petrol engine produces 211 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm and the disc-shaped electric motor produces 54 hp and a maximum torque of 210 Nm. Combined, the two units will produce 245 hp and 480 Nm that is close to the 3.0 liter diesel engine of the Audi company. Theverage consumption is 6.4 liters / 100 km announced for the petrol engine. The A8 hybrid can run up to 100 km / h in electric mode. If you run at a constant speed of 60 km / h, the A8 hybrid will run for about three kilometers. The Audi A8 Hybrid accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 7.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 km / h and the CO2 emissions are officially announced as 148 grams per kilometer.
The wheels in standard size are on 18 inch and as optional, the 19 inch rims, which have a special design of turbine blades. It seems that the engineers want to race with the other designers, because the BMW goes on the same idea for the eco models with special wheels. There is a special body color, Arctic Silver and various sites are announcing the hybrid badge mounted under the hood. As a standard and optional equipment for other versions, Audi offers for hybrid - metallic paint, air conditioning system in three zones, LED headlights and Bose sound system.
