

The Maserati Bora is a 2-seater coupe that was available in two different versions such as Bora 4.7 L and Bora 4.9 L from 1971 to 1978. It was available with two engine options such as 4.7 liter V8 engine that was able to generate 280 hp at at 6000 rpm and 4.9 liter V8 engine that was capable of producing 310 bhp at 6000 rpm along with a standard 5-speed manual transmission. The Bora 4.7 L was able to reach from 0-60 mph in about 7.2 seconds and the Bora 4.9 L was able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 6.5 seconds along with a top speed of around 165 mph. The Maserati Bora had a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, length of 4,335 mm, width of 1,730 mm, height of 1,134 mm and it weighed about 3,527 lb. The car was designed with a combined steel monocoque chassis and the body was made of tubular steel subframe. It also had wishbone front-suspension, independent suspension all round along with coil springs, anti-roll bars and telescopic shocks. The car was available with a combination of very wide front tires and rack and pinion steering. The Maserati Bora had advanced high pressure hydraulics which were adopted from Citroen to operate the ventilated disc brakes, throttle pedal box, clutch and the brake. There were retractable headlights, Campagnolo light alloy rims along with distinctive removable polished stainless steel hubcaps and Michelin XWX tyres introduced with this model.
