Americans launched for the first time in South America, a new family model, the Chevrolet Cobalt, which appears to us as a worthy rival not only for Logan, but also for the future Logan 2.
In summer this year, Chevrolet Brazil gave us a few headaches by presenting, in Bueno Aires Auto Show, the small sedan class concept Chevrolet Cobalt, with a size close to the Dacia Logan (or Renault Logan in South America), but with an unpretentious design, much less attractive than the Chevrolet Aveo Sedan, for example. Now, General Motors announced the official launch of the production model Chevrolet Cobalt, which will initially be sold in South America and then in 40 countries in Europe, Africa and Middle East. Since the Eastern European markets are already selling the Chevrolet Aveo Sedan, it remains a big question mark whether the new Chevrolet Cobalt will reach on all markets all over the world. Chevrolet Cobalt is a compact sedan, with a length of 4.48 meters (more than 19 cm than Logan and 8 cm than Aveo Sedan), a width of 1.74 meters and a height of 1, 51 meters (2 inches shorter than the Logan), while the wheelbase of the car stands at 2.62 meters (Logan: 2.63 meters, Aveo Sedan: 2.52 meters). Chevrolet Cobalt is 19 cm longer than Logan, but the wheelbase is at the same level, so Chevrolet Cobalt is more advanced than the current Logan with a trunk of 563 liters and is recommended as a family car very well adapted to transport up to 5 persons. Cobalt is proving a more generous interior space and to the Aveo sedan, but in this case, Aveo is designed “pretty boy” Cobalt is more appropriate and even conservative people past a certain age.
