

The Seat Malaga is a 4-door saloon passenger car that was introduced in the year 1985 and was produced till 1992. It was available with different engine options such as 1.2 I4 liter engine, 1.5 liter I4 engine and 1.7 liter I4 diesel engine that were capable of producing 63-100 hp along with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car is expected to be a saloon variant of Seat Ronda hatchback which was introduced few years earlier, but it mostly resembled the Fiat Regata. This model had a fuel tank with a capacity of 47 liters and it was capable of reaching a top speed of around 167-178 km/h. The Seat Malaga had a length of 4273 mm, width of 1345 mm, height of 2448 mm and it also weighed around 965-975 kg. It also had mounted power steering and antilock brakes as safety feature. The interior was completely based on the Lancia which was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, Karmann and Astesa. This model was compared to the best international competition cars that were produced during that period. The Seat Malaga was marketed under the slogan the greatest of SEAT and it was sold with the Fiat logo in the foreign markets. The front suspension had independent MacPherson struts along with springs and the rear suspension was available with independent leaf spring including shock absorbers and transersal. About 231,852 units were produced and most of them were also sold all over the world.
