

The 2013 Volkswagen Lavida is a new compact car that was first unveiled at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing. It is available with three engine options including 1.4 liter TSI engine that produce 129 hp along with 160 lb-ft of torque, 1.6 liter engine that generates 104 hp along with 114 lb-ft of torque and 2.0 liter engine that is capable of producing about 120 hp along with 127 lb-ft of torque. The car also features 6-speed Tiptronic transmission and 5-speed manual transmission. The latest model is able to reach from 0-60 mph in about 10.9 seconds along with a top speed of around 119 mph. The 2013 Volkswagen Lavida has a wheelbase of 2,610 mm, length of 4,608 mm, width of 1,743 mm, height of 1,465 mm and it also weighs about 1283 kg. It is considered to be first mass produced Volkswagen compact car which will be available in the Chinese market. The car is based on the Volkswagen Group PQ34 platform and it also competes with other Volkswagen models. The standard safety features include front airbags, anti-lock braking system and ESP. The 2013 Volkswagen Lavida will be available with a completely restyled body that will reflect the present Volkswagen design DNA. The face of the car has a clean styling and the body lines are sharp. The overall styling offers a more powerful, contemporary and sporty design principles. This model has been systematically designed to fulfill the needs of the Chinese consumers.
