

The Pontiac Rageous is a concept car that was first introduced at the North American International Auto Show in the year 1997. The car has been powered by a 5.7 liter V8 engine that is capable of producing about 315 hp along with a 6-speed manual transmission. It has been developed on a wheelbase of 117 inch which is able to reach from 0-60 mph in about 5.5 seconds. It was available as a four-door pillarless sedan along with center opening doors that was hinged at the A and C pillars. The Pontiac Rageous front seats were able to enter the vehicle through the doors just like other sports coupe, but it had a couple of rear-hinged doors to provide easy entry or exit to the rear seating area. There was a rear hatch and drop-down tailgate which provides access to 49 feet of cargo space just under the rear deck lid spoiler. You can also store all kinds items by folding front passenger seat and two rear seats and the rear cargo space was able to accommodate items that are large. The Pontiac Rageous also featured a special communication link package which can be used to stay in touch with your office through personal computer links as well as cellular phones. Other features include instrument panel with gauges and air outlets, Global Position Sensor navigation link and Heads Up Display that can be used to monitor speed, odometer and engine conditions.
