

The Seat 1430 Sport is a coupe that was introduced in the year 1977 with the same body of Seat 1200 Sport featuring a black front end. It was available with a 1,438 cc 4-cylinder-inline engine that is capable of producing about 57 kW of power at 5,400 and 82 lb-ft of torque at 3,400 rpm. The car also features a 4-speed manual transmission along with a front wheel drive. It was able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 14.5 seconds along with a top speed of around 102 mph. This model was specially made for the Spanish market, but few of them were available in places like France, Belgium, Germany and Holland. The Seat 1430 Sport was offered with a 2,225 mm, length of 3,665 mm, width of 1,555 mm, height of 1,250 mm and it also had a weight of about of 1,800 lb. The front suspension featured lower wishbone, struts, coil springs, stabilizing bar and the rear suspension was available with transverse leaf spring, struts, lower wishbone. This model was also known as Bocanegra which means black mouth in Spanish because of its color and shape. The Seat 1430 Sport also had black plastic front panel covered on the front grille and headlights along with prominent front bumper. About 19,332 units were produced by the company and sold in the Spanish market in which 11,619 units had 1200 engine and 7,713 units were offered with a more powerful 1430 motor.
