The Alfa Romeo Dardo is a concept version that was first unveiled at the Turin Autoshow in the year 2008. The car is based on the Alfa Romeo 156 and it has been powered by a 2.5 liter engine. This model has been specially designed by Pininfarina, a legendary design studio and it also highlighted several finest qualities of Italian cars such as sportiness, imagination, technology and performance. The Dardo is an Italian word for dart and it was beautifully painted in red color. The car was available as a two-seater along with a front wheel drive. The Alfa Romeo Dardo can be used as a communication tool which manifests Pininfarina’s passion for the automobile design. The car has a wheelbase which is shorter than the 156 model and it has a length of 4380 mm, width of 1709 mm and a height of just 1250 mm. The front shape tapers toward a point which includes the traditional Alfa Romeo triangular radiator grille. There are twin headlights that have been developed along with Valeo. The Alfa Romeo Dardo inner light cluster can give a full beam which is also surrounded by six small spotlights. The indicators of the car features thin, amber-colored neon bulbs. The flanks have a triangular theme similar to its rear and the dashboard is available with metallic-like leather upholstery that has been used for its seats too. The seats have been developed with extremely rigid shells which uses carbon/Kevlar/carbon technology.
