

The 2011 Nissan Townpod was introduced at the Paris Auto Show as a concept car which combines benefits of a passenger car along with practicality of a light commercial vehicle. It is available with Stratosphere White body paint as well as electric blue hints on the door handles, spokes of the alloy wheels, within the headlamp pods and nameplate. The car features the same zero-emission technology which is used in the Nissan LEAF. The dashboard is devoid of mechanical switches which are simple in their own way. The 2011 Nissan Townpod cargo area, passenger space and dashboard are uncluttered but look good and there are also uncomplicated yet futuristic steering wheel along with two familiar stalks which controls the lights and wipers. The forward and rearward drive can be selected with an uncomplicated joystick that has been set into the right-hand side of the seat base of the driver. The car has split rear doors, back lights on the right, a rear-door handle set into a concave surface and a number plate on the left. The rear lights have been special developed to show light like cut jewels when not in use and it also sparkles. The 2011 Nissan Townpod is available with hatch-like sun roof which is located directly above the cargo area and it also allows it to carry taller objects. The controls for ancillaries including climate control and media playback can be used through two centrally mounted digital screens.
