

The Seat Leon WTCC is the second generation sports car that was introduced at the World Touring Car Championship in the year 2006 to replace the previous Toledo. The car has undergone many modifications such as a racing engine which is capable of reaching over 310 bhp at 6500 rpm along with a Hewland sequential-shift gearbox which is unrelated to the DSG. It also has an aerodynamic package for increased downforce along with its hatchback shape which has been disadvantaged against the sedans. This model is available with a 1595 cc turbocharged 4-cylinder in line engine that is able to produce a maximum torque of about 410 nm at 3800 rpm. The Seat Leon WTCC also has a front-wheel-drive, AP twin-plate differential and mechanical limited slip differential. The front suspension is available with McPherson strut, coil springs, anti-roll bar, gas-filled dampers and the rear suspension features a steering: electrical power assisted rack and pinion, multilink axle, coil springs, anti-roll bar and gas-filled dampers. The brakes are available with dual circuit hydraulical system whereas the front brakes features 4-piston calipers, 343 mm steel ventilated discs and the rear brakes has 2-piston calipers, 280 mm steel discs. The Seat Leon WTCC has a wheelbase of 2596 mm, length of 4340 mm, width of 1849 mm and it also has a wight of around 1150 kg which includes the driver. The Seat in partnership with Oreca, runs 6 cars in WTCC, 2 cars in BTCC and 2 cars in Italian Superturismo.
