The Volvo ACC 2 is a concept vehicle that was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in the year 2002. It was available with a 2435 cc, Inline-5 engine that is capable of producing about 300 bhp and a torque of 295 ft-lbs along with a 6-speed semi-automatic transmission. The up and down gear-shift buttons have been integrated in the steering wheel and reverse button has been positioned on the center console. This model was specially made to demonstrate that the Volvo Cross Country concept has very exciting future. The concept is a combination of high-performance engineering along with functionality of a sports activity vehicle. The Volvo ACC 2 interior is based on the Swedish Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi and the Swiss Army Knife. The most eye-catching feature includes the 2 + 2 seat configuration along with a new seat design, thin profile of the seat based on the dynamic shape of racing car seats and rounded classic design of Scandinavian chairs. The backrests at the rear of the car can be moved forward to the front seats which will create a flat and efficient loading area. The Volvo ACC 2 safety features include whiplash protection system indicator and side impact protection system bar in each seat. The vehicle has flared wheel arches with turbine inspired alloy wheels, 18 inch studded tires and a wider track which is able to hint at it’s on and off road capabilities specially developed by Michelin.
