

The Ferrari 212 Inter was a very unique model which was first introduced at the Brussels Motor Show in the year 1951 to replace the both 166 and 195 Inter. This model features a 2562 cc, V12 engine that is able to generate about 150 bhp at 6500 rpm along with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car also had a twin oval tube frame, independent front suspension and drum brakes. It was able to reach a top speed of around 111.8 mph and the front & rear brakes were available with hydraulic drums. The competition designated cars were available with triple twin choke carburetors and road version had single twin choke unit. The Ferrari 212 Inter had a wheelbase of 2600 mm which was helpful for racing on tight circuits and it also had a weight of 2205 lbs. The car had well appointed interiors along with finely decorated bodies and others were sent back to factory to receive competition-spec upgrades. About 82 units were produced during its production period and it was the first model to feature a left-hand drive as well as a standard steering layout which had a right-hand drive. The Ferrari 212 Inter was available in three different body versions such as berlinetta, cabriolet and coupe. This model were also successful in most of the international competition including Tour of Sicily, the Tourist Trophy, the Carrera PanAmericana in Mexico, the Coppa Inter Europa at Monza and the Tour de France.
