

The Caterham Seven HPC is one among the successor of Lotus Mark 6 and it was produced from the year 1957 to 1972. The car was available with a 2 liter straight 4 engine that is able to generate about 175 bhp at 6000 rpm and a torque of 155 ft-lb. It also features a 5-speed manual transmission along with a rear wheel drive option. This model is capable of reaching from 0-60 mph in about 5 seconds along with an estimated top speed of around 126 mph. The Caterham Seven HPC was available with a wheelbase of 2235 mm, length of 3390 mm, width of 1575 mm, height of 1080 mm, front track of 1245 mm, rear track of 1321 mm and it also had a weight of about 1385 lb. The car had no doors, the seats were not adjustable and it also sits too low to the ground. The front suspension was independent A-arm and rear was a live axle that was located by twin parallel trailing arms and diagonal link. The Caterham Seven HPC had a body which was built in steel tube frame along with aluminum bodywork as well as fiberglass fenders and it also used cast-iron drum brakes. The car featured a worm-and-nut steering and later it was replaced by rack-and-pinion. This model has been very successful in racing as it was able to travel very fast which led to its ban in the year 1976.
