BMW XS, creation of George Manolache is a Romanian non specialized study in car design, but with incredible talent and a great passion for cars, but the image does not fit all the current range of Bavarian models. Is this a bad thing? Surely not.
This design studies, something that we all know so far about the BMW pictures, so the it combines retro elements like the elongated grid, mostly like the BMW 326, with modern fireworks that have the latest technology available in the automotive industry.
George used to inspire the BMW Concept Coupe Mille Miglia and the most beautiful Bavarian roadster, the Z8. This concept is moving forward, but without neglecting the elements that define a Bavarian model. However, the Romanian designer wants to impose a different look for the BMW brand, much more different than the present one.
All the BMW’s logos are actually LCD display, which lights up when the driver starts the car and the wheels remain static while walking, like those on the Rolls Royce. The exterior is certainly a breath of fresh air in many of today’s conservative models.
The idea of interior design is also futuristic, which is away from conservatism, but will not overdo it. George gave up the buttons, which says goodbye to the past and opt for screens with touchscreen technology. Another interesting element is the inner light, called “Mood Fog”, which changes once with the mood of the driver. BMW XS concept’s occupants can enjoy incredible views because of the transparent ceiling.
