Twizy is a nice vehicle, 100% electric, which is designed strictly for the urban needs, as for those who are familiar with scooters and their attributes like: efficiency, simplicity and maneuverability in the city traffic.
It is a very small car (2.3 meters long and only 1.13 meters wide), and the two passengers sit one behind the other – just as in the case of VW L1 concept, for example. The Twizy’s handling was a priority, turning circle is only 3 meters, and the center of gravity ensures it a high agility.
The machine’s appearance is simply nice, seeming to be rather a plastic toy. However, the two passengers benefit of the Renault experience if you talk about the safety, despite the fact that the cabin is not fully closed – the doors are, in fact, a kind of wider bars, lacking of windows or bottom, but they have integrated airbags in the side.
The cockpit is also simple, with, however, a steering wheel and some information necessary for driving, but their compact group favors the space.
Very interesting is the topic of honeycomb, both for the exterior and the interior, thing which allows an interesting modular of the layout ( the driver can select the “expression” of this machine by LED diodes) and the interior ergonomics.
The rear passengers benefit of easy access, the back driver’s seat is attached to the flag, which allows the pivoting of the bottom seat. The front passenger seat hides a great storage space of about 50 liters, which can be adjusted in height.
